DESCRIPTION:Set in the beautiful grounds of Thirlestane Castle\, in the Scottish Borders\, the BVAC Classic is the premier classic car show for all the family\, in Scotland. \nIt combines over 1\,000 wonderful classic and vintage cars\, with fabulous Scottish food\, drink\, retail and displays\, making it a wonderful day out for the whole family. \nNow in its 49th year\, the event – proudly organised by the Borders Vintage Automobile Club – has grown from strength to strength\, gaining recognition from The Sunday Times as ‘One of the top ten motoring events in the UK’. \nIn 2024\, the event will take place on Sunday 2nd June! DESCRIPTION:Club Stand Cancelled\n43rd Festival of Historic Transport 16th June 2024\nEntry Fee £5 per car Closing date 4th May 2024\n  \nApplications for the BVAC club stand at the show held on Sunday 16th June should be made using the attached form. NOTE the organisers have a fee of £5 per vehicle displayed which must be paid to our treasurer so that a total payment can be sent by the final closing date of 13th May. \n\n\n\n\nAlthough this is the first time that the BVAC has attended the event with a Club Stand\, it is the 43rd showing of the Festival of Historic Transport and is held at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum in Lathalmond. It is a fantastic approximately 40 mile through the Borders countryside along with static displays and car-boot sales on the village green. Many of our members enjoy participating but remember we are also taking a Club Stand at the FHVC show in Lathalmond on the same day. \n2024_info_sheet Jimmy Guthrie \n\n\n\n\nThe link above is the current information sheet for this years memorial Run from Denholm Village Green. \nALL applications for the run are to be made to the organiser direct as the BVAC will not have a club stand. DESCRIPTION:Moffat Classic Car Rally – 30 June 2024\nEntries closing date now 26th May 2024\nEntry Fee £5 per car paid to club stand organiser on the day.\n   \nApplications for the BVAC club stand at the Moffat car show held on Sunday 30th June should be made using the attached form. NOTE this year the organisers have imposed a fee per vehicle displayed of £5 which must be paid to our treasurer so that a total payment can be sent by the closing date. \nBVAC will be allocated club display space in the auto-jumble field which has no age limit on vehicles displayed\, making this show open to any of our members. This show has limited space so entries ASAP please. \n\n\n\n\nStarted in 1998\, by the Scottish Rootes Enthusiasts\, the Moffat car rally has grown to become one of the biggest 2 day classic car events in Scotland. Set in the beautiful Moffat hills\, the rally is an incredible place to both exhibit your cherished classic or vintage motor car and is a wonderful visitor experience. \nThe rally accommodates 900 entries some of which come hundreds of miles to participate. This 2 day event has a drive through the Moffat hills on the Saturday which is a glorious sight and Sunday is the main gathering in the Moffat showground\, with a large display of classic cars\, auto-jumble/trade stands and children’s entertainment. The Car Rally has been a fabulous connection with the town of Moffat.
