DESCRIPTION:  \n \nSet in the beautiful grounds of Thirlestane Castle\, in the Scottish Borders\, the BVAC Classic is the premier classic car show for all the family\, in Scotland. \nIt combines over 1\,000 wonderful classic and vintage cars\, with fabulous Scottish food\, drink\, retail and displays\, making it a wonderful day out for the whole family. \nNow in its 50th year\, the event – proudly organised by the Borders Vintage Automobile Club – has grown from strength to strength\, gaining recognition from The Sunday Times as ‘One of the top ten motoring events in the UK’. \nIn 2025\, the event will take place on Sunday 8th June! SUMMARY:BVAC Breakfast Meet - All Welcome. Note change of date this month.
DESCRIPTION:BVAC meets informally on the second Sunday of every month throughout the year at Milestone Garden Centre\, Newtown St. Boswells. In June we shall be meeting on the third Sunday as we shall all be at the Thirlestane Show on 8th. \nWe meet from 10am until midday or thereabouts and there is always a good number of Classics covering a wide variety of marques and ages.\nPerhaps you have come across the Club before\, maybe at our annual summer show at Thirlestane Castle or at one of the many Shows we attend as a Club during the season. Always thought of getting in touch but not done it yet? Our Breakfast meets are an ideal way of dropping in on us informally and having a chat. Everyone is welcome whatever you drive. Lots of people to offer advice or just be friendly with no obligation. \nSo why not join us on the third Sunday morning this month?

DESCRIPTION:Jim Clark Trust Anniversary Weekend at Duns Castle 28th and 29th June 2025 – Entries closed\nNOTICE: We are advised that club parking will be in the main car park in an allocated spot.\nEntry to the event is by ticket only at £12.50 pre-purchased online or £15.00 on the gate.\nA fantastic event being organised in celebration of the 1965 Championship year when Jim Clark won Formula 1\, Indianapolis\, Formula 2 UK\, Formula 2 Europe\, Formula 2 Tasman and was the current British Saloon Car Champion. \nThere will be a large gathering of the Mk 1 Lotus Cortina and many of the Lotus racing cars that Jim Clark actually drove including the 1965 Indianapolis winning Lotus Type 38\, many of which will be taken on demonstration runs along the castle’s driveway. There will be many stands and displays as well as food and coffee stalls\, with activities being run throughout the weekend. The Jim Clark Trust are also hoping to have a substantial and varied display of classic cars on the main car park of the castle grounds and special displays of Lotus Car Clubs. \nPlease use the form to express your interest in attending which should preferably be for both days. DESCRIPTION:Moffat Classic Car Rally – 29 June 2025\nEntries closing date now 25th May 2025\nEntry Fee £5 per car paid to club stand organiser on the day.\n   \nApplications for the BVAC club stand at the Moffat car show held on Sunday 30th June should be made using the attached form. NOTE this year the organisers have imposed a fee per vehicle displayed of £5 which must be paid to our treasurer so that a total payment can be sent by the closing date. \nBVAC will be allocated club display space in the auto-jumble field which has no age limit on vehicles displayed\, making this show open to any of our members. This show has limited space so entries ASAP please. \n\n\n\n\nStarted in 1998\, by the Scottish Rootes Enthusiasts\, the Moffat car rally has grown to become one of the biggest 2 day classic car events in Scotland. Set in the beautiful Moffat hills\, the rally is an incredible place to both exhibit your cherished classic or vintage motor car and is a wonderful visitor experience. \nThe rally accommodates 900 entries some of which come hundreds of miles to participate. This 2 day event has a drive through the Moffat hills on the Saturday which is a glorious sight and Sunday is the main gathering in the Moffat showground\, with a large display of classic cars\, auto-jumble/trade stands and children’s entertainment. The Car Rally has been a fabulous connection with the town of Moffat.
