ESSENTIAL INFORMATION for CAR CLUBS
Vehicles of any age may appear on club stands, but organisers are asked to ensure member’s vehicles are of sufficient interest and quality to enhance the show. CLUB STANDS are eligible for the BEST CLUB STAND TROPHY, but for logistical reasons vehicles on club stands cannot be judged individually for awards and trophies. However all club exhibitors are welcome to compete for the Best Combination of Period Dress and Vehicle Trophy and to join in the Borders Scenic Run on Saturday 6th. Enter both via the Club Listing Form, which will be sent to you when your Club Stand Registration is received.
Please return this Club Stand Registration Form below as soon as possible to confirm your intention to attend. We will then require your final numbers and a list of members and their vehicles attending no later than 19th April 2020 using the Club Stand Listing Form. SATURDAY 6th June 2020 - there is no public admittance on the Saturday but all your club members are welcome to take part in the Scottish Borders Scenic Run – a tour through the beautiful Borders countryside, starting at 10 am from the Esplanade of Thirlestane Castle and finishing there with a reception for entrants. There is a nominal entry fee for the run only of £5, to cover administration and licensing costs. Entry is available only when returning the Club Listing Form (this will be forwarded to you when your Club registration is received) and is limited to the first eighty applicants.
Sunday 7th June 2020 - Grand Public Day and Concours Ring Events and Parades, Trade Stands, Borders Food Fayre, Craft and Gift Pavilion, Sporting Bears Dream Rides and Prizegiving Ceremony.
SIGNING ON - All club organisers should sign on at the BVAC tent on arrival, so the organisers can log your attendance (or no-show!). All entrants will receive a commemorative gift and a programme. Club organisers may collect in bulk on behalf of their members.
The BVAC Ltd reserve the right to decline any application, without explanation or appeal.
CAMPING & CARAVANNING - Exhibitors, including those with classic campervans, are welcome to stay overnight in our designated camping area, but not in the display areas. The only exceptions, for security reasons, are outside traders and military display personnel. There is a charge of £10 per night for vans and caravans or £5 per night for tents, collected on site. No need to book or pre-pay. Facilities are limited to portable toilets and a water standpipe.
