You are cordially invited to apply for a Club Stand at the 47th annual BVAC CLASSIC at Thirlestane Castle on 2nd June 2019
There is no formal age limit for vehicles on Club Stands, but Club organisers are asked to bear in mind the ethos of the show and ensure their entries are of sufficient interest and quality. Vehicles over 20 years old are preferred, but clubs specialising in newer cars are also welcome.
In 2019 we have special display areas for the Classic Mini (built up to 2000), Jaguar Mk2's and Triumph Heralds (all 60th Birthday) and Ford Capris (50th Birthday) with awards in each category. If yours is a one-make club in these categories, we will position your stand to be included in the special display area and members's eligible cars will be included in the judging. If yours is a multi-make club and some of your members have these cars, they have the option of joining in the special displays or remaining on your club stand - please indicate on the Club Stand Listing Form, which will be forwarded to you when your application is accepted. For logistical reasons those remaining on your club stand cannot be included in these awards.
Please return this Club Stand Request Form below as soon as possible to confirm your intention to attend as space is limited. We will then require your final numbers and a list of members attending no later than 13th April 2019 using the Club Stand Listing Form, which will be sent to you when your Club Stand Application is received. If you have any questions contact us: e: firstname.lastname@example.org
SATURDAY 1st June 2019 - there is no public admittance on the Saturday but all entrants are welcome to take part in the Scottish Borders Scenic Run – a tour through the beautiful Borders countryside, starting at 10 am from the esplanade of Thirlestane Castle with a reception at the castle for those completing the tour, a distance of about 80 miles. There is a nominal entry fee for the run only of £5, to cover administration and licensing costs. Entry is only available via the Club Listing Form (this will be forwarded to you when your Club application is accepted) and is limited to the first eighty applicants. Please return by 13th April 2019.
Sunday 2nd June 2019
Individual vehicles on Club Stands cannot be included in the judging for the concours awards and special trophies, which are reserved for individual entrants. However, there is a Trophy for the Best Club Stand!
In addition, Classic Minis, Jaguar Mk2s, Triumph Heralds and Ford Capris attending with Clubs can be included in the judging of the special anniversary classes, provided they appear in the designated anniversary model display areas. For logistical reasons cars remaining on their club stand cannot be included in the judging. You will be able to indicate on the Club Listing Form which of your club members wish to appear in the 2019 anniversary displays rather than on your club stand. The Club Listing Form will be sent to you when your application for a Club Stand has been received'.
A COMMEMORATIVE GIFT will be awarded to each entrant, this should be claimed from the BVAC desk when signing-on. Each entrant will also receive a FREE PROGRAMME when signing on.
The BVAC Ltd reserve the right to decline any application, without explanation or appeal.
CAMPING & CARAVANNING - Exhibitors, including those with classic campervans, are welcome to stay overnight in our designated camping area, but not in the display areas. The only exceptions, for security reasons, are outside traders and military display personnel. There is a charge of £10 per night for vans and caravans or £5 per night for tents, collected on site. No need to book or pre-pay. Facilities are limited to portable toilets.
