A Taste of the Borders Fair

In an exciting new feature at the BVAC Classic, we are delighted to introduce a special ‘Taste of the Borders’ marquee where you can taste and buy locally produced food and drink.   

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet the makers and take home some of the finest food and drink from across the region.    

Following is a list of the local businesses you will find in the 'Taste of the Borders Fair' and we also thank Bruce Stevenson for the support and sponsorship of this new feature of the BVAC Classic at Thirlestane.

Curly Coo Tablet - Handmade traditional & flavoured tablet  

Ruby & Cocoa -  Artisan chocolatiers specialising in ruby chocolate products including luxury hot chocolate cocoa and pink chocolate bars

Thomas & Ethel -  Gluten and dairy free cakes – now have a vegan range too

Tempest Brew Co -  Makers of fresh craft beer in on the banks of the Tweed, selling small package beer and merchandise 

Purple Plum - Lauder’s local suppliers of quality fruit and vegetables, wholefoods and fresh flowers                                                 

Juicy Meat Co - Selling Hoardweel Wagu Beef

Dessert Diva - Brownies, fudge, tablet, traybakes, cakes and cupcakes  

Kiki Chocolates - Handmade chocolate confectionary  

Terroir  Wines - Terroir are importers and wholesalers of artisanal wines from around the world. Supplying wines representative of their terroir.  

Lindsey’s Farm Kitchen - Award winning bespoke liqueurs, all homemade in my farm kitchen

Selkirk Distillers - Artisan gin, rum and whisky liqueur           

The Damn Fine Cheese Company - Handmade waxed cheeses truckles in 12 mouth-watering flavours  

Kitty's Ginger Wine - Non alcoholic ginger wine  

Salt Pig Sea Salts - Salt Pig Sea Salts are range of blended sea salts using a fine sea salt and herbs and spices from around the World

Jaggy Nettle - Cashmere knitted accessories  

The Sweetest Traditions – The Fizz Bar will be in attendance on the day at the ‘Taste of the Borders Fair’ 

The Little Bakery – A large variety of ready to eat pies, bridies and sausage rolls
