The 48th annual BVAC CLASSIC is on Sunday 7th June 2020, once again in the magnificent setting of Thirlestane Castle, near the town of Lauder in the Scottish Borders some 29 miles south of Edinburgh. The show attracted over 1,400 entrants last year and some 3,000 - 4,000 visitors and continues to go from strength to strength. The show ground will be available for setting up on Saturday 6th June, but there is no public admittance.

Your attendance at the BVAC Classic at Thirlestane Castle is conditional on your observance of the following terms and conditions:
All traders, caterers and fairground operators must be able to produce a valid insurance certificate and operator’s certificate/licence where applicable and must bring an in-date fire extinguisher of an appropriate size and type.
All traders, stall-holders, caterers and fairground operators are responsible for ensuring they comply with Trading Standards and Health and Safety law. Liability for any accidental injury to visitors to their stands or persons in the vicinity of their stands lies solely with the individual trader. Particular attention must be paid to secure anchoring of tents, shelters and gazebos. Caterers must comply with FSA Scotland recommendations and be in possession of certificates for hygiene and food safety.
The directions of BVAC officials must be observed. Any instance of abuse or threatening behaviour directed at a BVAC official will result in expulsion from the showground.
Entry to the Showground will be available on Friday 5th June from 10.00hrs to 17.00hrs and on Saturday 6th from 12.00hrs to 17.00hrs – please note entry before 12.00hrs is not possible due to the Entrant’s Scenic Run. If you wish to arrive on Sunday 7th June, entry is available from 07.00hrs. You must be in position and ready by 10.30hrs as the show opens at 11.00am.
The Show Closes at 17.00 hrs on Sunday and pitches must be cleared by 10.00hrs on Monday 8th June.
Camping and Caravanning Outside traders and military display personnel ONLY may camp in the showground, for security reasons. All others, including those with classic campervans, are welcome to stay overnight in our designated camping/caravanning area, but not in the display areas. There is a charge of £10 per night for vans and caravans or £5 per night for tents, collected on site. No need to book or pre-pay. Alternatively, fully serviced sites are offered by Thirlestane Castle Caravan Park – Tel 01578 718884 - early pre-booking essential.
Lauder Town Centre is within easy reach of the showground with a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and hotels on offer. The Co-op filling station and supermarket is at the north end of town.
