Many of you may have been wondering what the future holds for the BVAC, specifically the annual show which has previously been held at Thirlestane Castle. This year the club has seen a lot of changes with vital committee members stepping down and new committee members joining. With these changes, coupled with the survey that went out to members, there has been a lot of discussion about where the club is heading and how we can give back to our members.

Discussions concerning identifying the club’s core values and how we can improve the way we present ourselves to our members and potential new members. We will be looking at revamping the website, making much more effective use of social media channels and looking also at improving the quality of the equipment and display items we use at various shows and events throughout the year.

For 2026, there will still be an occasion to celebrate, however the committee is still finalising the details to release the exciting news to the members. We can reveal it will be a smaller event and this break from the norm will allow the committee, to be able to work hard behind the scenes and come back ‘bigger and better’ in 2027 and beyond.
