Celebrate Father’s Day at the BVAC Classic on Sunday 18 June!
Set in the beautiful grounds of Thirlestane Castle, the 2023 BVAC Classic Festival of Motoring, is just over 1 week away and it’s shaping up to be an amazing, jam packed day for all the family!
The car show will be at the centre of the event, as always, and this year features a strong entry of show vehicles, with everything from a 100 years of MG feature in front of the Castle, to fine displays of hundreds of cars from almost sixty car clubs, as well as military vehicles, motorcycles and buses.
A new addition for this year will be the introduction of live rally action, courtesy of the Scottish Summer Hill Rally, which will give visitors the chance to see 35 of these unique and dramatic Hill Rally cars setting off for a special stage, in the grounds of Thirlestane Castle.
There will be breath-taking action on two wheels as well, courtesy of the Clan Stunt team, who will perform stunning BMX displays throughout the day.
Visitors will also have the chance to enjoy a dream ride in the car of their dreams, courtesy of the Sporting Bears, who will be running short runs in their lovely selection of cars, in return for a charitable donation.
Away from the cars and adrenaline fuelled action, music lovers will be able to enjoy performances from the excellent Hawick Pipe band. There will be an opportunity to relax and take a browse round our retail marquee, featuring everything from beautiful homeware to stylish handbags and stunning paintings. Or to grab some wonderful treats in our Artisan Food & Drink Hall, for the journey home, or a wee dram for when you get to the sofa!
Sticking to the culinary theme, there will be a mouth-watering selection of food & drink vendors serving up everything from juicy burgers to tasty tapas, to refreshing beers and artisan coffee to keep visitors fuelled during the day. In addition, there will be a selection of ‘Autojumblers’ selling car parts, tools and many other automotive themed items.

There will also be plenty to do for kids (and big kids!) with festival favourites rides, plus a soft target shooting range and karting simulators, to give the chance for some friendly family rivalry!
There really is something for all the family at this year’s BVAC Classic!
Under 16’s, accompanied by an adult, can enjoy free show access and tickets will also be available to purchase on the day, for £15*. Well behaved dogs will also be welcome! The show gates will open at 11am and the event will close at 5pm.
*Our preferred payment method is cash on the gates, in case of any connectivity issues, but we will have card payment options
