BVAC Classic - Festival of Motoring

2022 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Borders Vintage Automobile Club so we are putting on a very special version of our show at magnificent Thirlestane Castle near Lauder on the 18th and 19th June

This year, the BVAC Classic will share Thirlestane with the new Sir Jackie Stewart Classic – presented by Rolex; a new Motorsport Festival raising funds for ‘Race Against Dementia’ – a global charity, founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, raising funds for breakthrough and innovative research into the prevention of, and finding a treatment for, Dementia.

Saturday 18th June sees timed speed runs and static displays by classic racing and rally cars, including historic Formula 1. Some of Sir Jackie Stewart’s iconic cars and memorabilia will be on display, there’s and expanded retail village and much more. Sir Jackie and other prominent figures from motorsport will attend the event over the weekend.

The 2022 BVAC CLASSIC is the main event on Sunday, back after two lost years. Displays of gleaming classics, ring events, attractions, club parades and the prizegiving ceremony. The expanded retail village will include the popular ‘Taste of the Borders’ pavilion. The Sir Jackie Stewart presented by Rolex motorsport event continues on Sunday with the finals of the timed speed runs and static displays.

With up to 1200 veteran, vintage and classic vehicles of all shapes and sizes on display, the BVAC Classic is one of the biggest and best classic rallies in the whole country. It’s a fabulous day out for families as well, with superb attractions, entertainment, live music, shopping and stuff to do for youngsters. There’s something for everyone at the BVAC Classic!

The demand for places to exhibit cars at Thirlestane this year has been so great that we have already exhausted the available space and are unable to take any more entries.  If you would like to be placed on the waiting list in case of cancellations or clubs not requiring all the spaces they have been allocated, please email entries@bvac.org.uk giving your contact details and information about the car you wish to exhibit.  We will let you know if we’re able to fit you in.

Tickets for PUBLIC ADMISSION are available on the Sir Jackie Stewart Classic website HERE
