Sporting Bears return to the BVAC Classic

Sporting Bears return to the BVAC Classic

Show visitors will once again be able to enjoy a memorable passenger ride, in a car of their dreams, while helping to support a good cause at this year’s BVAC Classic on Sunday 2nd June!

The Sporting Bears is a club run entirely by volunteers and has so far successfully raised over £3 million for children’s charities. This year, at the BVAC Classic, the Sporting Bears will be supporting the Harris Trust; a Scottish Borders based charity, focussed on raising awareness and providing training around neurodiversity and mental health.
The Sporting Bears will be offering visitors a chance to enjoy ‘Dream Rides’ in a fabulous variety of classic, sports and super cars. The rides will run throughout the day, departing from the Castle front, where – for a donation to the Harris Trust – you can book a thrilling 10-mile passenger ride in the exotic car of your choice.

The car line up is to be confirmed but usually includes Performance cars such as; Aston Martin, Ariel Atom, Lancia Integrale Evo, KITT Trans Am Nightrider and Ultima Can-Am. While their more relaxed rides are usually available in a Chevrolet Bel-Air, a Rolls-Royce and for fun Messerschmitt Bubble Cars.

Dream Rides are run under normal traffic laws and all the volunteer drivers have given their time, cars and fuel, so that 100% of your donation goes to charity.

The BVAC Classic Festival of Motoring takes place on Sunday 2nd June at Thirlestane Castle, a magnificent 16th century castle and one of the oldest ancestral homes in Scotland, 25miles south of Edinburgh, in Lauder, Scottish Borders.

The show will feature a huge array of attractions to keep the whole family entertained. There will extensive displays of stunning veteran, vintage and classic cars, a live rally stage, children’s play zone and activities, BMX stunt displays, pipe band shows and plenty of wonderful food and drink vendors to keep visitors fuelled throughout the day!

Be sure not to miss out on the action; book your tickets online to benefit from our advanced ticket price of £12.50, available to visitors who purchase before 30th May.

Under 16’s, accompanied by an adult, can enjoy free show access and tickets will also be available to purchase on the day, for £15. Well behaved dogs will also be welcome! The show gates will open at 11am and the event will close at 5pm.
