Visit to The Car Cave Bonnyrigg Saturday 28th November 2026 11am to 2pm
Allan Potts, the owner of The Car Cave in Bonnyrigg has agreed to host a club members visit to his business on Saturday 28th November and is staying on at work that extra hour from 1pm till 2pm to allow us all to see both the garage and car sales opeeration.
This is a visit to a fully working garage operation that specialise in the service, repair and even restoration of cars but in particular Fords. We will be able to have a look around of the whole operation and discuss with Allan all that happens throughout his business. The Car Cave also buy and sell classic cars and have many vehicles available for sale which we will be able to see on the premises. Many of the classic Fords are sourced from South Africa as they are right hand drive as standard, and Allan and his team can help with all aspects of locating, import and registration requirements.
There is no catering on site but the National Mining Museum is close by and has an excellent café so anyone can go along and purchase any food or refreshment they want. The attendance form asks if you are likely to go to the NMM Café so we can give them some indication of numbers even if we are not going en-mass.
